WHO AM I
Hi there!
I am an actor and filmmaker born and raised in Tehran, Iran. I hold my MFA in Acting from The New School of Drama and my BFA in Theatre and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley. During my time at Berkeley, I had the privilege of attending Acting workshops led by the distinguished director, Bahram Beyzayie, at Stanford University where I performed in two of his plays, Tarabnameh and Crossroads.
My recent acting credit was playing Goli in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, English, written by the talented Sanaz Toossi and directed by the incredible Knud Adams. I also have a deep passion for documentary filmmaking, allowing me to explore the world from a different perspective. My latest short film, Sokoutée, was awarded Best Documentary at The New York Flash Film Festival. I draw endless inspiration from my roots and the resilient people of Iran whom I seize every opportunity to represent through my art.
